There are a variety of ways to find a job. Here are some additional suggestions for your search:

Volunteering

Sometimes when you are having difficulty finding a job it might be a good idea to volunteer at a particular place where you might be interested in working. Volunteering can provide a good way to learn a new skill, try out a new job, build your resume or just keep busy. Most volunteer jobs do not pay but if you do a good job, you can get a good reference and be there if a job opening does occur. On Cape Cod and the Islands to learn about volunteering check out:

Cape Cod Volunteers connects people of all ages to volunteer opportunities by your interests and skills.  Start searching opportunities today by logging in and creating an account , or visit us on Tuesday afternoons at Mashpee Public Library, or Thursday mornings at Harwich Community Center.

Networking

Another way to find jobs is to think about the network of people you know through your school, your church, your volunteer job, and your community. Sometimes the best jobs are not advertised and if you let people know you are looking for a job, they may be able to help.
