Career Opportunities Uses a New Approach to Help Put Cape and Islands Residents Back to Work!

In an effort to reach out to as many job seekers as possible so they can help fill the numerous job openings on the Cape and Islands, Career Opportunities has partnered with local FM station WXTK 95.1 to bring current job openings on the Cape and Islands to job seekers during its Job Alert Monday segment.

“This is our year to try new ways of expanding our reach”, Kristina Dower, Career Center Director, said.  “First we hosted our Virtual Job Fair, then changed the format of our Information Sessions and took them on the road; and now, thanks to Matt Pitta, News Director for WXTK/Qantum Cape Cod, we have the opportunity to partner with WXTK 95.1 to bring job seekers another vehicle for learning about current job openings on Job Alert Monday” , Ms. Dower, added

Job Alert Monday will be aired every Monday at 6:55 a.m. on WXTK 95.1. This will be especially helpful to job seekers on the move and/or those who are working and may be looking for a career change or a second job.

The segment will highlight one white collar/professional job; one blue collar job and one part-time job each week.

Once the segment has aired, job seekers can find more detailed information on the jobs, including the name of the staff person at Career Opportunities that they should contact, by visiting Career Opportunities’ website at www.capejobs.com and clicking on Job Alert Monday.  Jobs announced on Job Alert Monday, will remain on the Job Alert Monday site until they are no longer available.
